This time around we aimed to create another complete food bait but with a totally natural angle to it. We went to great lengths to address the FLAA (First Limiting Amino Acid), creating a bait with the optimum digestible protein levels and quantities of lipid/fat sources. This ensures the carp’s dietary needs are met all year round. There are no synthetic flavours in this bait, and we believe one of the keys to the incredible success and longevity of this bait is down to its completely natural make-up.
The main attractors are Yeast Extract, Hydrolysed Liver Powder and Fenugreek, along with a unique blend of natural salts and spices. All are proven olfactory and gustatory stimulants in carp and have long been used in the koi industry for these exact purposes. The main protein source in the bait comes from the superb LT fishmeal combined with CPSP90 hydrolysed fishmeal. Krill Meal is also included to improve the attractor profile through its high levels of cantaxanthin whilst adding useful essential amino acids and aiding also digestion. Some milk powder is also added to not only provide some useful fats, but also to improve the palatability. Any essential vitamins not already supplied through the quality ingredients already present in the bait are assisted by the inclusion of a high-grade kelp powder. A small amount of Premium CLO has been used to add a touch of texture and make the bait more user/throwing-stick friendly whilst also adding to essential vitamin and mineral levels. Some vegetable proteins are also included to balance the fat levels out in the bait. As with all our baits, we like to complement the base mix with a liquid food during its make-up and this is no different. A pure liquidised shrimp blended with liver liquid and Krill Hydrolysate, plus a small amount of cod liver oil, work together beautifully, creating a fast leak off of water-soluble attractors.
